(Little Hill Sage)  This most unusual variety heralds from the northeastern Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.  Large growing and rambling, it is at it's best when given room to spread. Gorizia is an old town in that region. The name of the town comes from the Slovene word gorica 'little hill', hence the common name of this plant.

The genus Rosmarinus is now included in Salvia, and we are very happy to carry this wonderful plant - whatever you call it.

The leaves are longer and much broader than most rosemary varieties, so much so that it stands out for this alone. We suspect it is a tetraploid variety. The growth is rambling and spreading, which works very well in mixed borders where it can mix in with other plants. The flowers are quite large as well, but not as numerous as some. The fragrance is fetching - ginger spice and sweet.  It is our favorite variety to give a hint of flavor to a dish.

New for 2018.
