Beautifully grown plants of unusual hard to get varieties. I've potted them on to keep them growing through the heat of the Austin summer; looking forward to placing them in the garden this fall.

Everything arrived in perfect condition. We followed the instructions of allowing the plant to accumulate to the local climate in Texas. We planted them two days after we got them. The plants are doing very well with drip irrigation to the base of all 4. Now we wait for the flowers.

Yesterday afternoon another delivery of FBTS plants arrived. They looked beautiful right out of the box. This is the fourth time I've ordered from you this year, and each and every plant was in great shape, ready to grow and bloom (except for the two that the gophers ate -- now I plant in gopher-proof planting baskets). This time, two of the plants were actually in bloom, and the shipping was done so well that they were unfazed by it. FBTS is an incredible nursery, not only for the amazing variety they offer, but for the excellent quality and condition of the plants. I only wish I had known about you sooner!

Having lived in CA and having a huge collection of Salvias I was always disappointed with salvias found at local nurseries when I moved to zone 6 New Jersey. But then I found your nursery and all is right sgain. Excellent assortment of plants that always arrive in top notch condition and excellent size. The four plants I ordered from you were a very nice size and two of them are already blooming away in my hummingbird garden, much to the delight of the juvenile anna's who owns that particular turf. The 3 Salvia sagittata arrived healthy and have taken off. The 1 Salvia patens Guanajuato had very few roots. It was loose in the pot and perhaps suffered root damage in the long transit. It's not dead, but is the plant TLC and has lost one stem. The packing was good. I think occasional losses are just part of ordering plants by mail. Would order from them again.

Very nice healthy plants arrived at my door. Great packaging to keep them safe. I received emails for taking care of my plants, when they would be shipped and when to expect them. Thanks for the fast service, and the very healthy plants. I've had them about a month now and they are doing very well. I sat outside for awhile yesterday and a hummingbird flew into my little flower garden, straight to the 7-up plant I got from you. I ordered about 15 plants from FBTS. I have a plant addiction and have ordered from many online nurseries! I can honestly say I have never received plants that looked as healthy, well established and cared for as the plants I received from FBTS. I am really impressed beyond belief. I've been gardening for hummingbirds for the past 30+ years. Since my needs are so specific (and I live in an area where most of the best hummer attractants do not), I've used mail order suppliers almost exclusively. My choices have worked over the years - especially in 2005 when we were visited (in Michigan) by a White-eared Hummingbird. Prior to that, the furthest east one had ever been seen was Biloxi, MS - the furthest north was CO. Flowers by the Sea has, without doubt, the best selection of hummer-attracting plants I've ever run across. To top that off, they send the healthiest specimens. It's such a pleasure doing business with a family organization. Vikki and Kermit have been so easy to talk with. I'm really glad that I ordered from Flowers by the Sea, the shipment came when promised and the plants were in excellent shape. Both plants were healthy looking and acclimated to my climate within a day or two. The selection of sages was numerous and there was enough information on the website to make an informed choice. All in all when I will need sages this will be the only place for me to order from!

I live in Northern Illinois. The plants were delivered in a couple of days. They were well packed and in great shape when they arrived. I immediately transplanted them and gave them about 2 weeks for the weather to warm and for the plants to grow. I put them in the ground by the middle of May and one of them was already blooming. All three plants are doing great alongside my Scarlet Sage Salvias that I started from seed in March and my Black & Blue Salvias. So now I have a mix of red, pink and blue Salvias for my Hummingbird friends to enjoy this Summer. I am extremely happy with the quality and the service and will be doing business in the future!
